Boomer’s posting on our new Blog!

Jay’s Porch, Daisy, Boomer and Ambrose © Jay Merton

It’s a fine partly-cloudy, 77ºF Sunday afternoon here on my back porch. Don’t let the graphic above fool you, Boomer & I are not enjoying mugs of organically & shade-grown, fair-trade, Guatemalan-Roast coffee, but some nice cold water (don’t need any more coffee, no matter how much I love the stuff)!

Boomer has written his very first ever blog post on our new blog! I don’t know if the blogging bug has struck him yet—but he DID call me to let me know he posted.

Check out our new personal blog banner. Click on the banner & find out what Boomer has to say. Oh, and if you look closely in the “Recent Comments” section on the side bar, you’ll see a photo of the real “Medford.”

Yet another marketing tease!

Looks really great - I love your Graphics.  My coffee is just as you explained "organically & shade-grown, fair-trade, Guatemalan-Roast coffee"  I was in Guatameal in May and came home with 10 pounds of beans that I saw roasted - mmm, it is good stuff.

Some of us are a bit slow on the uptake. :-)   It took me until just now to figure out that the link to Our Saint Paul!  in your link list is indeed the pathway to your new blog. (As is the Our Saint Paul banner image in the body of the post)   And I was just about to ask where to find it!!!  Humm, like, duh....

Chris: Thanks.

Kaye: Ummm--with Boomer perhaps--I'm distantly related through his father's family.

Sarah: I haven't begun building my blog roll there yet--you gotta know you'll be on it.

John: YUM!

Cheryl: Weren't you asking about family history? Boomer is something of a wizard at it, and has helped me immensely with my own history.

Jay -- Yep -- that was me.  Some of my relatives are very well versed in family history.  I really should study up on it, too, one of these days!

Cheryl: Be very, very careful - it IS as addicting as blogging!

Jay, great job on the graphics on the banner.  OK, let me go and see what Boomer's first blog looks like.  I hope you taught him well.

George: I got lazy; all the houses are variations of the one on the left. I've been stopping by "Our Saint Paul" and see that Boomer has been aggressively replying to comments.

Paula: Thanks. It seems that the "Medford" avatar has been driven off the sidebar by all the comments that sucker ;-)  Boomer has been receiving.

Jay will you be at the picnic tomorrow with the gentlemen from Sellsius?  You could once and for all allay the rumors of Teresa being your altar ego or vice versa!  We'd love to meet you, for sure.

Bonnie: Maybe, but I don't do well in these situations; my stroke-induced speech difficulty is exacerbated by the stress.

Which is proof positive of the benefits of the computer and the clarity it affords those with speech problems.  It truly demonstrates how sharp the mind is even when the body doesn't cooperate!

Bonnie: Were you here when I'm working on a post or comment, you would be likely to hear some muttered expletives as I try to get my fumble-fingers to do what my brain commands. This is NOT just a result of the stroke, but the fact that I've always been possessed of fumble-fingers.

Morning Jay, I missed the "real Medford" :(. I'll just have to keep checking! LOL @ Fumble Fingers! I've not heard that expression in a long time!

Morning, Jay!  One of many funny things I have observed over time is ANY construction guy (They almost always have strong and calloused hands swollen with years of use.) trying to use a keyboard.  I have a friend who managed to use those "fumble fingers" to play beautiful music on the piano!  Now I count you as a friend who works magic on a different key board with the same fumble fingers.  As to the expletives. . . my beloved grandfather answered my question about what it was like to change a semi tire once with "I can't describe it in words a young lady should hear."!  Keep mumbling as long as the young ladies are not present!  ;-)
